Debates in future elections

In the 2008 election the debates had more viewers and coverage than ever before, particularly the vice presidential debate. Many will agree that the debate formats need to be revamped before the 2012 presidential elections, especially the town hall format. Most viewers blamed Tom Brokaw for being a weak moderator, however I believe that it was the time constraints placed on the candidates and Brokaw.
